I can think of a couple governors who did much for their state. As I am a LA native, I know of Huey P. Long and Edwin Edwards - only time will tell if Ms. Palin ends up in jail or murdered, or if she will live such a colorful life as these two men did. However, am I just missing the point? The issue on the table is whether or not Sarah Palin was the right person for the job as Vice-President, and probably before end of term PRESIDENT. I say NOT. Heck, she didn't even finish her job as governor for goodness sake! But more importantly: Dealing with Americans about American problems is one thing. I believe the woman deserves credit where credit is due. HOWEVER... Representing a nation of multi-cultural, multi-racial, multi-religious peoples; and negotiating peace between us and other nations; and preventing terrorism, well... boys and girls, I tell ya', it takes a little more than what pretty Ms. Sarah Palin has. What works for a soccer mom to hold an American corporate man by the balls is not exactly the same thing that will work for talks with heads of state for the various nations around us. The bottom line is that our President should represent the will of the people, hold the respect of not only U.S. citizens but all nations abroad, and conduct himself in a manner representing the collective heart and soul of our nation. I don't think the majority of Americans were wrong when they chose such the person to fulfill that role. And since the election, time has shown that President Palin would be more worried right now about her own family affairs and private controversies. Now, can we all stop beating a dead horse and act like patriotic Americans and live each day to the fullest and support our President already?

Every single one of those numbered items is FALSE. I don't know who Dewie Whetsel is but he is, at the very least, wildly incorrect and at the worst, knowingly a liar.

http://www.factcheck.org/2009/12/sarah-palins-accomplishments/ This is a link that checks the validity of the viral e-mail above. Maybe the writer should have included the fact that Palin charged the State of AK for her children's and husband's travel and charged the state of AK per diem for living in her own house! She didn't want to live in the state capital where the state's elected officials did their work. I wonder what other governors have done the same? Thank you.

Like Dewey Whetsell said, "I don't give a rats a$$" what this woman did, or didn't do as Governor of Alaska. She's a joke! She's about as much a politician as I am an astronaut! I too am 66. Retired Navy Seal and Vietnam Veteran. I do know of not only Governors, but local, state, and federal politicians over the years who have'had GREAT track records, and Ms. Palin wouldn't make a pimple on their behind. Oh...and...by the way. I'm NOT a democrat. By golly.

I can tell you, Mr. Whetsell, what Mr. Obama accomplished while a senator. He BECAME President Of The United States! Of course, to people like you, that doesn't amount to much apparently. How wharped some people are. You talk about "truth" as if you have the corner market on it. Guess what? You don't. Neither does anybody else. But I'd rather not know the truth than to have my ears tickled with flowery words of lies. You, sir, are a fabricator of "the truth." Shame on you.
