Remember Microsoft's infamous "Blue Screen of Death" on its Windows 98 operating system? Get ready for trouble. It's nasty cousin, the Black Screen of Death, is rearing its ugly head in new builds of Windows.

It looks like it might be caused by malware but no one is sure and Microsoft is reported as having little interest in coming up with a fix.
