It is hard to imagine that the Wednesday evening newser will change the growing skepticism regarding the radical socialized health care proposal now being shoved through congress and down American's throats.

The linked Politico article pretty much sums up my observations. No need to reinvent the wheel.

Members of Congress haven't read the 1,018-page proposed healthcare-reform legislation, but then, apparently neither has President Obama.

The president recently confessed he is "not familiar" with key provisions of the legislation.

According to a Heritage Foundation post, Obama's embarrassing admission came during a conference call with left-leaning bloggers.

Obama urged the bloggers to continue pressuring Congress to pass health-care reform immediately. During that call, Heritage reports, a blogger referenced an article in Investor's Business Daily indicating Section 102 of the House bill would "outlaw" private insurance.

"Is this true?" the blogger asked Obama. "Will people be able to keep their insurance and will insurers be able to write new policies even though H.R. 3200 is passed?"

The president's response on behalf of the legislation he is pushing through Congress: "You know, I have to say that I am not familiar with the provision you are talking about."

That response prompted the think tank to state: "This is a truly disturbing admission by the president, especially considering that later in the call, Obama promises yet again: 'If you have health insurance, and you like it, and you have a doctor that you like, then you can keep it. Period.'"

The rhetorical question posed by Heritage: "How can Obama keep making this promise if he is not familiar with the health legislation that is being written in Congress?"

No version of the legislation now under consideration "outlaws" private insurance coverage. However, it increases its cost relative to publicly subsidized plans in a way that leads some experts to believe private insurance would no longer be a viable option.

A Heritage-Lewin Group report released Monday found that close to 100 million policy holders may be forced to change insurance plans if Congress passes the bill supported by Obama.

Does any of this sound familiar?

- A moratorium on foreclosures
- Extended unemployment
- Give money to deficit-ridden states
- Enact massive public-works jobs
- Develop "clean energy" projects
- Enact the Employee Free Choice Act
- Enact a National Health Insurance act
- Repeal the Patriot Act
- Withdraw troops from Iraq
- Adopt a foreign policy of "diplomacy and respect"
- Ratify the Kyoto Treaty
- Cut the Pentagon budget in half and close US bases around the world

Unless you understand the resulting legal ramifications, this all might sound good.

The American people need to understand that socialized medicine isn't really free medical care. It will cost the government no less than it costs any American family to obtain the same level of care, so the same financial decisions will still have to me made.

People will still die needlessly under Obama's health care plan. The big difference is that more will die because the "rich" (and that classification is beginning to dig into the middle class) will not be allowed to pay for the care the Democrats won't want to give them.

The only thing allowing this proposal to enjoy the acceptance level it now has is the ignorance level of the American population.

One horror story after another is coming out of Great Britain and Canada. Canada, for instance, isn't bothering to diagnose cancer in a lot of cases until the disease is terminal. The Cancer rates in our neighbor to the north with the highly-touted (by Democrats, at least) government-run health care are now 16 percent higher than the rates here in the States.

The more people learn of health care rationing and the horrendous costs associated with the Democrats' proposals to decide what care everyone will get, the less it is being supported by Americans.

So now a majority of Americans think Barack Obama is leading the United States in "the wrong direction." What a surprise that is.

Actually, the real surprise is that this "dead on" article appeared in Sunday's Washington Post.

Pontiac is going out of existence. Hummer has been sold to China. Saturn has been sold and they're trying unload Saab but can't find a buyer yet. Opel and Vauxhall have been sold to a Canadian-Russian company.

The international operations of "the new GM" will all run out of China.

The new, US government and UAW-owned General Motors Company keeps all of the money from the brand sales. The old company's stockholders really get screwed. They get to keep only 16 abandoned plants (some of them contaminated) and a small 9-hole golf course in New Jersey. And after that has been sold off there won't be enough to even pay off the creditors. The stock those people invested in is worth zero.

I just can't yet bring myself to buy a car from a company run by government idiots and union idiots, a company who treats its own citizen-investors like this.

I don't think I want a CTS anymore.

Don't look now but it is several Democrats in the House of Representatives who appear ready and able to stop Obama's "obamanation" of a health care nightmare from being rammed down the throats of Americans.

It has been said that the only thing allowing evil to occur is for good people to do nothing. Maybe some of the good people are finally going to act.

Oh, my God! Even the lefties at Rolling Stone magazine are beginning to get the picture. They aren't connecting all the dots yet, though. I suspect by the time that happens it will be too late for the United States and the rest of the world.

We are just now beginning to see the first breaths of the final stage of EXACTLY what some people have been warning us about for decades. This isn't capitalism failing, this is the major banks draining the world with the help of their "willing fools."

The first handful of sentences of this article prove they can now control the political power of several important nations. The first step of the takeover is to put power into the hands of government instead of the people. That is done by getting a certain kind of person into high positions in government. Use words like "liberal" and "progressive" to convince people to slowly give up their rights. We now have a congress full of these people (and one in the White House) who have been called "willing fools." They bought the crap that big government is better than freedom.

Once the governments of the world have grabbed control, the boom gets lowered by fostering a major world-wide economic collapse.

The only country keeping this from happening sooner has been the United States. Now that Americans have given up their liberties, all the pieces can fall into place.

This plan has been on the table for longer than I have been alive but every time someone would "cry wolf," they were shouted down or made fun of as a bunch of right-wing crazies.

We have not been vigilant.

And now the sky really is falling.

It looks like the Detroit News has caught on. They actually use the word "Marxist" in referring to Obama's policies. I wonder how long it will take the rest of the media to figure it out.

Those of you who have read my postings in various places over the years are well aware of my feelings that all of this "climate change" nonsense has nothing to do with the climate or the environment. It's all about control.

Now, the idiots in Washington are going to put a lot of America's small businesses out of business. Unfortunately, these are the people who have created most of the jobs in this country.

Have you noticed there are no more death counts of U.S. soldiers reported in the so-called "mainstream" media anymore?

While Bush was in office, every war death was reported. Now that Obama is in the White House the death counts are strangely missing from the front pages of leftist water carriers like the New York Times, Washington Post, Los Angeles Times, Detroit Free Press, etc.

Selective reporting doesn't become them. Do they really wonder why their circulation figures are in mortal free fall?
