This Is Why the Federal Government Shouldn't Regulate Anything!!

Actually, this is why the federal government shouldn't be ALLOWED to regulate anything. Anyone who ever voted for a Democrat allowed this kind of nonsense to happen to America. You can't tear the constitution apart and think there won't be consequences.

Times of London: "A Stunning Humiliation"
By James Raymond Reese on Oct 3, 2009 | In News, Commentary | 1 feedback »

The Times of London sums it all up in one paragraph. "Mr Obama was greeted — as usual — like a rock star by the IOC delegates in Copenhagen — then humiliated by them. Perception is reality. A narrow defeat for Chicago would have been acceptable — but the sheer scale of the defeat was a bombshell, and is a major blow for Mr Obama at a time when questions are being asked about his style of governance."

Year-Long Wait for Physical Exam in Massachusetts

Health care costs jump 40 percent in three years. Taxes to cover the bills skyrocket but, even so, services are being cut. People have "coverage" but real health care is in a steep decline.
Mitt Romney has to be sweating. If the former Massachusetts governor is watching his highly-touted government health scheme implode all around the state's feet just when it looks like he was planning a run for the White House in 2012.

This is a disgrace! The City of Detroit has millions to throw around on things that have nothing to do with legitimate government. Or at least it used to. It squandered its wealth and now doesn't have a dollar with which to wipe its own butt.

Anybody want to join me in starting a fund to pay for cremations IF...
...a BIG "if"...
family members can show they haven't squandered their money on things like Blackberrys, gold teeth, fancy-ass clothes and expensive cars with $3,000 wheels?
The people who are, however, legitimately in need, should be helped. Can each of us find $5, $10, $20 or whatever? If so, hit the "Contact Me" button and we'll make it happen.

Mr. Bumble Was Correct: The Law IS An Ass - An Idiot!

An Indiana grandmother has been arrested for buying cough syrup. And a Terre Haute prosecutor is brainless enough to attempt to justify his idiocy.
Mr. Bumble, a character in Charles Dickens' "Oliver Twist" certainly wasn't speaking of cough syrup when he uttered the words aptly, in many cases, describing the law but it is stupifyingly accurate in this instance.

Sixty-six percent (66%) of all voters say they’re at least somewhat angry about the current policies of the federal government, including 36% who are Very Angry.
Among those voters who are Very Angry, 74% say the level of anger is higher now, while 13% say it’s lower and 12% say it’s about the same.
Even the majority of those who are not very or not at all angry about the government’s actions right now say the level of political anger is higher under Obama.

"I bring you greetings from a person who is called...a person who is sun-tanned...Barack Obama," the smiling 72-year-old politician told a crowd of cheering supporters in Milan on Sunday. "You wouldn't believe it, but they go sunbathing at the beach together - his wife is also sun-tanned."

"Free Speech" in Action in Democratically-Controlled Chicago.

The Olympic Committee has ordered a Chicago TV station not to re-play their story about a web site promoting the games be "awarded" to Brazil. President Obama is leading the in-person push for the 2016 Olympics to be held in Chicago.
The word "awarded" in the previous paragraph is in quotes because a growing number of people feel the games are no longer worth the cost.
Was the TV station's story so negative as to earn the wrath of the Olympic Committee? You can judge for yourself. Click on the link above to watch the report.

I was in Cook County, Illinois last week. For the love of God I can't imagine why the Olympics would want to be there in the first place. The county has legitimately earned its reputation.

Tea Parties 'Racist?' See What This Black Man Has to Say.

It was Democrats who supported the 1857 Dred Scott SCOTUS decision declaring slaves to be property. The judges who voted in favor of that decision were all pro-slavery judges who were appointed by Democratic presidents. But wait. It gets better.
It was Democratic Party congressmen who voted in favor of the Fugitive Slave Laws, the Black Codes and other repressive legislation of the era.
At the same time, Democrats opposed:
- the 13th amendment granting freedom to slaves
- the 14th amendment granting citizenship to blacks
- the 15th amendment giving blacks the right to vote
Democrats also opposed:
- the 1866 Civil Rights Act
- the 1867 Reconstruction Act
- the 1870 Force Act
- the 1871 Ku Klux Klan Act
And let us not forget that it was states controlled by Democratic governors, mayors, congressmen and state legislators that opposed the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the 1965 Voting Rights Act.
It was the Democratic Party that opposed Brown vs. Board of Education.
And it pays to remember that of the thousands and thousands of lynchings of black people during the history of this country, MORE THAN 98 PERCENT happened in towns and cities where the local governments were controlled by, and the citizenry were overwhelmingly, Democratic Party members and voters.

Please Tell Me Again Just How Dumb George W. Bush Is
By James Raymond Reese on Sep 28, 2009 | In News, Commentary | Send feedback »
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and then given the unions a huge stake in the company for free, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the non-existent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and then continued to flub it, would you have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had mis-spelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and "potatoe" as proof of what a dunce he is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?
If George W. Bush's administration had okayed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans, would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
So, please tell me again what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? He's done all this in just 8 months.
Makes you proud of your president, doesn't it?
