74% of Republican voters say the party’s reps in Congress have lost touch with GOP voters over the past several years. Rasmussen polling also finds just 18% of GOP voters believe their elected officials have done a good job representing the base.

At August's town-hall meetings, voters often started with complaints about health care, only to shift to frustrations about all the other things President Barack Obama and the Democrats have done or tried to do since January. The $787 billion economic-stimulus package, the government-led rescue of General Motors Corp. and climate-change legislation all came in for criticism.

Honduras, which despite two months of intense pressure from Washington is still refusing to reinstate Manuel Zelaya, its deposed president. Last week the Obama administration took off the gloves and sent a message that it would use everything it has to break the neck of the Honduran democracy. Its bullying might work. But it will never be able to brag about what it has done.

In a dramatic reversal, Democrats continue to lose favor with Americans over their approach to health care. As recently as June, the Democrats had a 10 point lead. That dropped last month but Democrats were still in the lead. The latest Rasmussen poll shows more Americans now trust the Republicans by a 3 point margin.
The Democrats are also in trouble in congress. In "generic" polling, Republicans lead in congressional approval by 5 points, their highest rating in years.

The latest Rasmussen poll reports 54 percent of Americans would rather have no health care reform than for congress to pass the bill now working its way across Capitol Hill.
The increase in the lack of support for the president's socialized plan follows horror stories coming out of Great Britain and Canada about 10-month waits to get an MRI, old people having their drugs rationed and a seeming lack of ability to diagnose certain dangerous diseases until the are terminal.
