"Let Texas Decide" Petition for Sovereignty or Secession May Have 1 Million Signatures in 90 Days
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 12, 2009 | In News | Send feedback »
That petition circulating in Texas calling for a "Let Texans Decide" vote on Sovereignty or Secession is being called "a massive success" by organizers. If signatures continue to be collected at current rates, the petition will have gathered more than one million signatures, what some call "an astounding figure," within the next 90 days.
Supporters say the purpose of the petition is not to call for independence but to ask the Governor and the legislature to place the matter on Texas ballots for a vote by the people.
The numbers indicate growing support in Texas for secession from the United States and a reforming of the Republic of Texas. The web site of just one of the organizations involved (The Texas Nationalist Movement, http://www.texasnationalist.com) recorded 5 million hits just during June and July.
Related moves are underway in several other states. What are being called "10th Amendment Sovereignty Resolutions" have already been passed by the legislatures of seven states and have been discussed, in varying degrees, in a total of 37 of the 50 states.
US at the Crossroads: Sovereignty or Secession Called for in Texas
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 11, 2009 | In News | Send feedback »
There is a sizable movement afoot in Texas to reconstitute the Republic of Texas.
On the capitol steps in Austin August 29th there will be a significant event in the progress towards Texas Independence. A meeting has been organized between different groups to discuss "Sovereignty or Secession."
Leaders of The Texas Nationalist Movement expect a strong showing of support.
According to the organizers, "America has fallen from its original, God-inspired path. Texas must take a leadership roll and inspire our sister states to join us in
Sovereignty."
A bill has already been introduced into the Texas legislature that would nullify all laws of the federal government that infringe on Texas' legitimate constitutional authority.
Only 32% of Americans Now Favor ObamaCare, Almost 60% Want No Part of It

The numbers keep getting worse as Americans begin to discover what's in the Medical Care plan Democrats so desperately wanted to pass into law before anyone had a chance to see what it was all about.

Democrats Forced to Hire "Supporters" as America Supports the Protesters
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 10, 2009 | In News, Commentary | Send feedback »
Democrats are now having to take out ads on Craig's List across the country to hire supporters for Obama's attack on health care. A the same time they are smearing legitimate dissenters as an "orchestrated" movement.
This appears to be just one more example of how everything Democrats say is the exact opposite of what's true.
Most Americans oppose ObamaCare. According to Rasmussen polls, the vast majority (84%) say they are "very satisfied" or "satisfied" with their existing coverage. Most are demanding tax cuts instead. They see this insulting scam for what it is - another needless, fraudulent assault on the free market against the one industry Democrats haven't destroyed yet.
Rasmussen polls also report more Americans also now have a favorable view of the grassroots citizens revolting against this unconstitutional war on free market health care. Unsurprisingly, only the Democrat base opposes this massive public uprising. Tellingly, Americans also distrust government more than they do insurance companies.
Yet anyone who questions rationed, inferior government health care is smeared as a "racist," a "right-wing extremist," or even a Nazi, put on Obama's illegal "enemies list," and targeted for harassment, intimidation, and even violence from the only people involved in this mess who are actually acting like Nazis.
It's not a coincidence that "Nazi" stands for National Socialist.

Now the Democrats are Using the IRS to Destroy the 2nd Amendment
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 10, 2009 | In News | Send feedback »
This does not look good!!!
Senate Bill SB-2099 will require you to put on your 2009 1040 federal tax form all guns that you have or own. It may require fingerprints and a tax of $50 per gun.
This bill was introduced back on February 24. This bill apparently won't become public knowledge until 30 days AFTER it is voted into law. This is an amendment to the Internal Revenue Act of 1986. This means that the Finance Committee can pass this without the Senate voting on it at all.
The full text of the proposed amendment is on the U.S. Senate homepage, http://www.senate.gov/ You can find the bill by doing a search by the bill number, SB-2099.
You know who to call; I strongly suggest you do. Please send a copy of this e-mail to every gun owner you know.
Democrats in congress are now starting work on their firearms confiscation bill. If it passes, gun owners will become criminals if you don't fully comply.
It has started.
Important for you to be aware of a new bill HR 45 introduced into the House. This is the Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Even gun shop owners didn't know about this because the government is trying to fly it under the radar.
To find out about this - go to any government website and type in HR 45 or Google HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sales Act of 2009. You will get all the information.
Basically this would make it illegal to own a firearm - any rifle with a clip or ANY pistol unless:
- It is registered
- You are fingerprinted
- You supply a current Driver's License
- You supply your Social Security number
- You will submit to a physical AND MENTAL evaluation at any time of their choosing
- Each update, change or ownership through private or public sale must be reported and costs $25
- Failure to do so you automatically lose the right to own a firearm and are subject up to a year in jail. -There is a child provision clause on page 16 section 305 stating a gun must be locked and inaccessible to any child under 18
- They would have the right to come and inspect that you are storing your gun safely away from accessibility to children and fine is punishable for up to 5 years in prison.
If you think this is a joke, go to the website and take your pick of many options to read this. It is long and lengthy. But, more and more people are becoming aware of this. Pass the word along. Any hunters in your family pass this along.
This is just a "termite" approach to complete confiscation of guns and disarming of our society to the point we have no defense - chip away a little here and there until the goal is accomplished before anyone realizes it.
Please... copy and send this out to EVERYONE in the USA , whether you support the Right to Bear Arms or are for gun control. We all should have the right to choose.

Death Valley is not a friendly place to be in August. The boy was with his mother and the family dog, heading for a camping outing, when their Jeep ran over an underground Coyote den and it collapsed. The vehicle wasn't found for five days.

I have personally walked half way across the floor of Death Valley, but not in August. I can't even imagine the torture Mother Nature has in store for those who make the slightest mistake.
Government-Run Medical Care in Oregon Refuses Treatment for Cancer Patient, Offers Pills to Kill Her
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 7, 2009 | In News, Commentary | 1 feedback »

This story is from the London Daily Mail. It takes a look at Oregon's Assisted Suicide law because it has been touted as a model for Great Britain.
What we learn deep down in the article is that medical costs eventually force government-run health care to refuse treatment to people who need it. As the story shows, it isn't only Canada who is refusing to diagnose and treat cancer patients because of the cost. It's just cheaper to let them die.
The following is from the UK article.
"One of the great concerns about Oregon is the suggestion that the very existence of the right-to-die law means the state's health system now has less of an incentive to provide terminally-ill people with proper care.
It is something that came to blight 64-year-old Barbara Wagner's last days. Diagnosed with lung cancer in 2005, the former bus driver vowed to fight the disease so she could spend as long as possible with her family.
Even after her doctor warned last year that she had less than six months left, she refused to give up, pinning all her hopes on a new life-prolonging treatment.
But her request, at the beginning of last year, for the £2,500-a-month drug was refused by Oregon's state-run health plan as being too expensive. Instead, she was offered lethal medication to end her life.
'It was horrible,' Barbara told reporters. 'I got a letter in the mail that basically said if you want to take the pills we will help you get them from a doctor and we will stand there and watch you die - but we won't give you the medicine to live.
'I told them: "Who do you think you are to say that you will pay for my dying, but you won't pay for me to possibly live longer?"

If the Election Were to be Held Today, Democrats Would Lose Control of Congress
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 7, 2009 | In News | Send feedback »

In February, according to Rasmussen polling, Democrats were in the lead by nine points in "generic" congressional polls. That lead has slowly slipped away from them until the Democrats are now five points behind Republicans.
The most serious drop for Democrats is their loss of support among female voters. Traditionally, women strongly favor Democratic candidates. That lead has withered to a dead heat.

Expect Democrats to Allow You to Keep Your Own Health Plan? Think Again!

Did Obama, or Pelosi, or Reed, or any of that bunch of liars in Washington ever mention that your company can provide your current insurance for only five years? Then you get dumped into government "care" that even Obama won't allow his family to touch.

Yes, You WILL Be in the Government Health Plan
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 7, 2009 | In News, Commentary | Send feedback »
Gee, we never heard about all the restrictions from the Democrats who are trying to shove this down our throats, did we?
Want to keep your current insurance? Then don't change jobs. Don't let the insurance company change it's coverage, even slightly. Don't let your employer decide to pick up more of the medical bills when the economy turns around.
I'm betting that liar in the White House won't read page 16 of the House bill to you...so, here, read it for yourself:
SEC. 102. PROTECTING THE CHOICE TO KEEP CURRENT

4 COVERAGE DEFINED.—Subject to the succeeding provisions of

And this is just one part of all the ropes we will be tied with.
How the hell did these people get elected? Oh, that's right. People too stupid to see what's happening but the commie bastard made them feel good.
The idiots deserve what they get. The rest of us don't.
"Cash for Clunkers" is a Disaster for Poor People
By James Raymond Reese on Aug 7, 2009 | In News, Commentary | Send feedback »
"Cash for Clunkers" sounds like a fantastic idea. People will get some financial help in buying a greener car, car sales will improve and everybody's happy, right?
Wrong!!
The people who designed this plan didn't look beyond the ends of their noses when contemplating the results. It seems those in charge of the federal government these days don't have the mental capacity to see any unintended consequences of their meddling in the marketplace.
Hundreds of thousands of perfectly good, relatively inexpensive used cars are getting crushed. Just taken away from potential purchasers. These are the very same cars that poor people would be able to afford.
Not-for-profit organizations like Goodwill Industries, for one example, will suffer from lower donation rates which will hurt poor people even more. The funds from the sale of those cars won't be available for job training, English as a second language courses, budget tutoring, or the myriad of other services performed by these organizations paid for solely by donations.
Again, it is America's poor who will be hurt by a program designed by people who pretend to care for about poor.
This seems to be a pattern of liberal thinking. Go for the quick fix with no consideration for what might happen next.
